From Nursery to Home- The Journey of a Plant!

Have you ever wondered what it takes for a healthy plant to be delivered, from it’s home to yours successfully? It is just like shifting your house. You have to carefully pack your belongings in a protective manner so that no damage occurs, then have them transported to their new destination. Upon arrival, you unpack your belongings and set them up in your new home. The journey of a plant from Nursery to Home is essentially the same. Plants have to be prepared and packed carefully for transportation and upon arrival, some attention is required towards your plant to help it regain its lustre. This is how we do it at Ropan!

Preparation

As soon as your order is received, your plants are carefully selected for freshness and quality. Once selected the plants are watered well and kept out in the sun for 24-48 hours. Once the plants have absorbed enough water and sunlight, they are sent out for packaging.

Packaging & Shipping

As soon as the plants are ready to be packed, we at Ropan carefully pack them in a travel safe packaging. We do so by carefully packing the plants roots with a moist paper covered by a stronger sheet. This is done so that the plant receives enough moisture during its travel. Once the roots are covered with moist paper, the rest of the plant is covered with paper and packed in a carton box. As soon as the plants are packed and ready to be shipped our delivery partners pick up the package for delivery.

Post Delivery Instructions

Upon receiving your order, unpack the plants as soon as you receive them. Gently remove the paper covers from the root and place the plant in the centre of a pot. Fill the rest of the pot with soil and thoroughly water the plant. Once watered keep the plant in sunlight for 6-8 hours. Now that your plant has a new home take good care of your new member in the family. Show it sunlight from time to time and water the plant in time once the soil dries up and don’t forget to fertilize the plant once a month.
